Light It Up, now live on Amazon
Some old flames just can’t be extinguished.
Gabby Feinman—artist, software engineer, overachiever extraordinaire—has studied hard, worked harder, and played just enough so she’ll have no regrets when she finds and marries her Nice Jewish Boy. The profile? Smart, sexy, and lovable, the standard first set by her brother’s best friend and her teenage crush, Ben Adler.
Ben has always been just out of Gabby’s reach—spinning into her orbit, lighting up her heart, then spinning right back out again. Despite the time and distance, Ben’s long-held attraction to Gabby hasn’t faded over the years. Unfortunately, his chosen path—a PhD in biology and proving himself to his father—means a relationship with Gabby just isn’t meant to be, especially since he doesn’t believe in the staying power of love.
But one steamy New York summer, years of attraction ignite. When Ben is forced to make a life-changing decision, though, they discover that love is a fire that can burn you like no other, and sometimes, you have to lose everything to understand what you just can’t live without.
Light It Up is a dual POV Jewish story about love, growing as a person, facing your fears, and learning to trust yourself and others. Finding true love can be a winding path, with doubts and challenges along the way, but sometimes . . . one match is all you need.
Ship It
Still healing from the loss of her father and dealing with the aftermath of a rocky relationship, Sarah is more than ready to jump into her new career in a Silicon Valley startup. Heading out to celebrate the end of the pandemic and her new job with friends seemed like a good idea last night. But as she wakes the morning after, staring into the face of impulsivity itself—a sexy guy clutching his pillow the way he clutched her the night before—she takes the easy way out and slips silently into the San Jose morning, determined to put him, and any other distractions, behind her.
After years of working towards his PhD in computer science, Nathan’s ready for a change and jumps at the chance to join his best friend’s tech startup. It’s all-consuming and cut-throat at times, but he’s ready for anything. Anything, that is, except discovering Sarah, the charming woman he spent one unforgettable night with, works at the company that just promoted him to the C-suite.
Despite their best efforts to keep their relationship professional, things heat up. But secrets come out—including Nathan’s entanglement with his ex—and Sarah and Nathan must ask themselves whether their particular brand of startup can succeed in such uncertain conditions.
Will the connection they’re building go to market, or like most startups, will the obstacles along the way cause them to fail?
Pitch It
When’s love not perfect, do you Pitch It?
After a dramatic start to Sarah and Nathan’s romance in Ship It, their future together seems bright. But as they each strive for success in the epicenter of tech, Silicon Valley, passions run high and temptations abound.
When Sarah’s new colleague—a man interested in her skills both in and out of the office—offers her an attractive opportunity, her bond with Nathan is tested. Faced with competing offers for her time and attention, she must determine what—and whom—she wants in her life.
Just as Nathan makes a breakthrough with his startup, his idea is stolen by a daunting competitor, making him question not only his professional path, but the people he trusts the most.
In love and business, there’s always competition. The only question is: Who will come out on top?

About me
I’m Evie and I’m so happy you stopped by my website! While I’ve been writing for (what feels like) my whole life for academic and professional purposes, I set a goal for myself in 2022 to write my first work of fiction. After lots of hard work (i.e., self-doubt, notes on my phone in the dark of the night, deciding nobody will ever want to read my story or, even worse, reading it and thinking it stinks), I published my first fiction novel, Ship It, in December 2022, and I released the sequel, Pitch It, in November 2023.
Follow me on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook for insights on my writing and publishing process and updates on future works.
